WORKS OF PROSE:
GOD LOVES US!
We are blessed beyond understanding; we have been given a gift -- that
gift is a special relationship with God and a holy life in Christ
Jesus.
We have received life everlasting; a home in Heaven; all spiritual
blessings; a heart cleansed/set free; and, oh so much more. Our lives
are not our own -- we belong to God!
His great love for us gave an only Son to die in our stead; now, in His
sight, we are covered -- yes, we are made holy by the sweet, sweet
blood of God's holy lamb.
VESSELS OF CLAY
God's children -- imprisioned behind bars of tissue and bone; they
yearn to be set free ~ to soar to the throne of God; to prostrate before Him
~ to gaze up at Him. Yet, they have no power to release themselves into
that holy dwelling ...
Father,
Allow us to love Thee as we ought. Allow us to reflect Thy holy
integrity each day. Grant that we might honor Thee as befits Thy
majesty; and, help us to comprehend Thy infinite glory. Cleanse us of
Adam; take from us all that clings unacceptably to that which is Thine
and restore unto us that which we once had with Thee before sin. Amen.
ALWAYS BE READY!
(INSPIRATION: LUKE 12:35-40)
Are you ready? Are you waiting? Are you dressed in the full armor of
God? Is your heart glowing in the crystallized beauty of faith? Will
you eagerly greet the Master at the sound of the trump?
Our eager expectation of His arrival will be commended -- for He will
bless His servants and minister to them personally; a holy table will
be prepared and each servant will be seated thereabout. Effervescent joy
and abundant gratitication will abound. Are you ready for such
happiness? Look forward to His coming Christian; with great excitement
and anticipation -- be always ready -- FOR THE HOUR IS HIS!
Works of Poetry
WE HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT
O' what a creature thou wast'
When evil had run its course with thee
A child of wrath among a great many
Such were you; yes, such was me.
Now we have good reason indeed
For hating the evil in our past
For we remember its deadly workings
And the emptiness which it cast.
If thou wouldst live a happy life
Then walk in the ways of holiness
Hate all that is evil, even unto the end
For it is in His love that you art blessed.
THE LORD IS THE STRENGTH OF OUR LIVES
A life well fed, lovingly nurtured and bred,
Finds it deeds much different than before;
Its vigor is greater and its weaknesses reversed,
A truth which cannot be ignored ...
In His strength we find the ability to
Say "no" and be glad with a joyful heart;
God's power in love, His power in truth,
Brings repetitions of longing never to part --
Our lips made to praise, to sing and to shout,
Of His revealing work here on this earth;
Of His love that draws and woos us to His side ~
Divine oneness through gracious heavenly birth.
How sweet is His love which strengthens us?
How joyful are these hearts made clean?
How wonderful is His presence surrounding us?
How much of Him have we seen? How much has gone unseen?
The Lord is our strength, it is only He that we need,
There is no other energy that we shall seek;
For He is life ... our only life,
It is in Him that we are pure and complete.
